The Real Reason Candidates Don't Get Hired

After 12+ years in recruitment, I've noticed something interesting:

Strong candidates rarely fail interviews because they lack experience.

More often, it comes down to factors such as:
✔ Clear communication
✔ Confidence without arrogance
✔ Preparation and professionalism
✔ Understanding the role and tailoring their answers accordingly
✔ Communicating their value in a way that resonates with employers

Many professionals underestimate how important these elements are.

An interview is not simply a conversation about your past experience. It's an opportunity to demonstrate how your skills, strengths, and achievements can solve a business problem.
The most successful candidates are not always the most qualified on paper.
They are often the ones who communicate their value most effectively.

I'm curious:
What do you find most challenging about interviews?
